USC linebacker Uchenna Nwosu returns to classes and workouts
USC linebacker Uchenna Nwosu, who was not enrolled for the spring semester and did not participate in spring football, is taking summer classes and can participate in workouts, an athletic department official confirmed.
USCFootball.com first reported Nwosu’s return.
Nwosu played in 12 games on special teams and as a reserve linebacker last season as a freshman. He made nine tackles.
Nwosu did not participate in the Holiday Bowl after he was sent home from San Diego because of an unspecified violation of team rules.
An athletic department official said in January that Nwosu was expected to rejoin the program during summer. He is expected to be added to the roster for training camp, which begins in August.
USC is set to open the season on Sept. 5 opener against Arkansas State.
