USC recruiting: Receiver Keyshawn Young names USC, Alabama as favorites
Keyshawn Young, a receiver at Senior High in Miami, traveled to Los Angeles over the weekend to participate in B2G’s Elite Camp on the campus of Cal Lutheran University.
But Young, 5-feet-11 and 160 pounds, was notably absent from a workout session on Saturday.
“I am homesick, I just have to adapt to it,” he said after emerging from his dorm. Young said that it was his first time traveling to the West Coast.
A top recruit in the 2016 class, Young has 24 scholarship offers but said Alabama and USC are his favorites. Coaches from both teams communicate with him daily, he said.
Young planned to follow camp with a visit to USC on Monday.
“Coaches say they are going to walk me around the school, see how things are,” he said.
Young said he would take five official visits in the fall, including Alabama and USC, and could make a commitment in December.
“I want to take my time, finish high school and not worry about that stuff,” he said.
