USC’s Kevon Seymour says ‘it was just time’ to change look
Watch USC cornerback Kevon Seymour talk about spring practice.
USC cornerback Kevon Seymour wanted the hair out of his eyes.
The 6-foot, 185-pound senior decided before the Holiday Bowl to cut off the dreadlocks that he had grown for four years, he said.
After the game, he followed through.
“It was just time,” he said.
Seymour is the second Trojans player to sport a new look for spring practice. Sophomore defensive lineman Kenny Bigelow also cut off his dreadlocks.
“It was just a business decision,” said Seymour, adding that he felt more approachable because his hair no longer covered his face.
Seymour said he would donate the hair, but would keep a “lucky dread.”
