USC VS. CORNELL
When: Monday, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Galen Center.
On the air: TV: Pac-12 Networks; Radio 710.
Update: The last time USC (10-0) won 10 games in a row was 15 years ago, in a stretch that spanned parts of two seasons. Its last 10-game winning streak in one season was in 1970-71, when it started with 16 victories in a row.
The Trojans’ undefeated start was in jeopardy for most of the game Saturday against Troy, which led for more than 30 minutes before USC took the lead for good in the final minute. Point guard Jordan McLaughlin scored 21 points, equaling his average in the three games since forward Bennie Boatwright’s injury.
Guard Matt Morgan, who averages 18.6 points, leads Cornell (2-6), which has yet to play a power-five conference team this season. Its two victories came over Lafayette and Northeastern. USC should enjoy a size advantage: The Big Red use four guards, none taller than 6 feet 4. USC has only one player shorter.
