UCLA recruiting: Tight end Chris Clark picks the Bruins

UCLA got national letter of intent signing day off to a positive start Wednesday when Chris Clark announced that he was signing with the Bruins.
Clark, a 6-foot-5, 250-pound tight end, was one of the most coveted tight ends in the nation. He was ranked first among tight ends by Rivals.com and Scout.com. He made his announcement early Wednesday morning on ESPNU.
“I’m really excited to get on campus and get to work.” Clark said on ESPNU.
UCLA rarely uses a tight end, but Clark could fit in nicely as a Y-back.
Clark, who played at Avon (Conn.) Old Farm School, orally committed to Michigan, but reopened his recruitment when Coach Brady Hoke was fired. Michigan then hired former San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh.
