Watch batter celebrate home run ... that was caught for an out
OK, all of you who hit a game-tying homer in the ninth inning of a baseball game Wednesday, please take a step forward. Not so fast, Jun-Woo Jeon.
Jeon, who plays for the Lotte Giants of the Korean Baseball Organization, was batting in the ninth inning with one man on and his team trailing the NC Dinos by two. Jeon launched a deep fly ball to left, which appeared, to him anyway, to be a sure homer. He flipped his bat, pointed at his dugout, then began his leisurely stroll around the bases.
One problem: The left fielder caught the ball on the warning track.
Jeon reaches first base, where it appears the first-base coach gives him the news. The look on Jeon’s face is priceless. Best part: the Dinos’ first baseman pats him on the shoulder with a “Gee, that’s so sad†look on his face.
