USC tailback Javorius Allen, who was limited to 26 yards rushing against Stanford, bounced back and ran for 145 yards and three touchdowns in No. 23 USC’s 47-29 victory over Colorado on Saturday night at Folsom Field.
Allen scored on runs of 12, one and 23 yards and had an apparent 66-yard touchdown run nullified by a penalty.
“We came out with a great mindset that we were going to pound the ball, and we struggled a little bit, but as the game went on we picked it up,” Allen said.
Allen lost a fumble that was returned for a touchdown early in the third quarter.
“I put that on myself,” he said. “I can’t blame anyone but me.”
Allen scored three touchdowns for the third time in four games. He has run for 11 touchdowns and also turned one pass reception into a score.
