Rose Bowl: Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan eyes ‘second chance’
Quarterback Kevin Hogan helped lead Stanford to a 20-14 victory over Wisconsin in the 2013 Rose Bowl.
Hogan completed 12 of 19 passes for 123 yards and also rushed for 54 yards in seven carries.
“I was happy with myself,†he said Friday. “Obviously, there were throws that I would have liked to have made.
“Certainly near the end of the game I remember we could have put it out of reach, but that’s stuff that you can learn from and it’s going to be so nice to be on that same field this year and be able to hit those throws again and kind of get a second chance.â€
Hogan, a junior from Virginia, is looking forward to the Cardinal’s New Year’s Day matchup against Michigan State in the 100th Rose Bowl game.
Hogan has passed for 20 touchdowns, with nine interceptions, this season.
Stanford is 16-2 in games that Hogan has started, and 10-0 against ranked opponents.
