The Rams on Tuesday signed receiver J.J. Worton, who participated in the rookie camp last week as a tryout player.
The Rams also released receiver Isiah Ferguson.
Worton, 24, played at Central Florida and was a member of the Rams’ practice squad for about a month last season.
The New England Patriots then signed him to their practice squad, but he was arrested on suspicion of assault in January after an incident at a bar in Foxborough, Mass.
Worton was arrested on suspicion of two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person aged 14 and over and one count of assault and battery.
Worton’s case was resolved, Rams General Manager Les Snead said.
