Nick O’Leary survives horrifying motorcycle accident [Video]

During an interview last month, Florida State football Coach Jimbo Fisher mentioned that tight end Nick O’Leary was in a motorcycle accident, saying he “wrecked that daggone scooter and was banged up for about a month.”
The way Fisher talked about it, it didn’t really sound like that big of a deal. But it was.
Footage of the accident was released on Thursday, and after watching it, you have to wonder how O’Leary survived at all.
As you can see in the video above, which was captured by a bus dashboard-cam, O’Leary is riding down the street when a car pulls out in front of him. O’Leary crashes into the side of the car and the motorcycle disintegrates as O’Leary is sent hurtling down the street.
According to police reports, O’Leary actually walked away from the accident, though he had severe bruising.
O’Leary is the grandson of golf legend Jack Nicklaus.
