Lance Armstrong says he is bored, agitated without competitive cycling
Banned from all competition, Lance Armstrong says he often feels bored and agitated, and that he sometimes receives money from extremely wealthy people who pay to race him.
Armstrong talks about life without competitive cycling in the August issue of Esquire magazine, saying that he continues to reach out to people with cancer.
The disgraced athlete was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles after acknowledging that he used performance enhancing drugs during much of his record-setting career.
The Esquire article also reveals that his struggling cancer foundation would like to find a way to bring him back into the fold.
“I think in some respects, he’s waiting to be invited,†Doug Ulman, president of the Livestrong Foundation, told the magazine. “And people here are waiting for him to express to them his authentic passion to be back. Both are waiting for the other to, like, make a move.â€
