Lamar Odom reportedly falls asleep at child-custody hearing
Lamar Odom is a laid-back guy. We’ve known that for years -- the guy can just be really, really mellow sometimes, and we’ve grown to love that about him.
But sometimes that demeanor might not be the most appropriate ... like, say, when one is attending a child-custody hearing. That’s probably not the best time to kick back and catch a little shut-eye.
The Clippers forward found that out the hard way in a Manhattan courthouse Tuesday, according to a report in the New York Post. Odom and ex-girlfriend Liza Morales are battling for custody of their daughter and son.
When the lawyers left the room to discuss the case, the 6-foot-10 Odom stretched out on “a hard, not-so-comfortable courthouse bench†and fell asleep, even with his legs hanging well over the edge, the Post reported.
A court officer asked if he was OK. Odom replied he was fine and was promptly told to sit up. The apparently exhausted player obeyed, but slumped over with his head in his hand.
Probably not the best time for a power nap. But on the plus side, at least Odom should be well rested for the Clippers’ home game against Milwaukee at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
