Black Monday: Firings around the NFL
Around the NFL, executives and coaches braced for word of their future with their respective organizations as team’s fired coaches and front office personnel in what has become an annual event known as “Black Monday.”
The Bears announced Monday that Coach Lovie Smith will not be returning to the team following a 10-6 season in which Chicago failed to make the playoffs. Smith had been the Bears’ Coach for nine seasons.
