Alex Morgan announces her engagement but tries to let us down easy
Alex Morgan is trying to tell us something.
The U.S. women’s soccer star from Diamond Bar on Monday posted a photo of herself and Houston Dynamo midfielder Servando Carrasco, her longtime boyfriend, on Instagram, with the hashtag #InstaBling.
An hour later she posted another shot of the couple on Twitter, this time with the caption “Couldn’t be happier.â€

You probably couldn’t help but notice the giant rock on Morgan’s left ring finger in both shots. Pretty sure that’s the “InstantBling†and symbolic of the reason she couldn’t be happier.
Does she have to spell it out for us? Or are all you guys out there just in denial?
OK, fine. The 2012 London Olympics gold medalist who has become one of the faces of the U.S. women’s team is engaged to the MLS player who spent his first two-plus years in the league with Seattle before being traded to Houston during this past season.
Well, guys, we know you’re pretty upset about Morgan being off the market and all. But hey, at least she let us down easy.
