Sources reveal Dez Bryant’s injury, will be out 4-6 weeks

Dez Bryant fractured the fifth metatarsal in his right foot and while the Cowboys have initially given a four-to-six week timeframe for his return, six is the more reasonable estimate, sources said.
The Pro Bowl receiver appeared to suffer the injury in the first minute of the fourth quarter after his catch for 20 yards on a crossing pattern. Commonly known as a Jones fracture, Bryant is scheduled to undergo surgery Tuesday and have a screw placed in the foot.
The injury ends a streak of 63-consecutive regular season starts for Bryant. His last absence came in Week 2 of the 2011 against the San Francisco 49ers.
DeMarcus Lawrence suffered a similar injury last season and was out for seven weeks. Receiver Michael Crabtree, now with the Oakland Raiders, was out even longer due to complications.
If Bryant is able to return in six weeks, that would make him available for the Cowboys return matchup against the Giants on Oct. 25.
