AFC notes: Chargers’ Melvin Gordon emerges as the NFL touchdown leader

Baltimore Ravens: Joe Flacco ranks 30th among quarterbacks, averaging just 5.96 yards per attempt. He’s had six passes intercepted and only five touchdowns.

Buffalo Bills: The Bills have a chance for a winning record through eight games for only the fifth time since 2000. Buffalo had a four-game win streak ended last week.

Cincinnati Bengals: A.J. Green leads the NFL with 50 catches and is second to Atlanta’s Julio Jones with 775 yards. The Bengals have won three in a row vs. the Redskins.

Cleveland Browns: Josh McCown is expected to start at quarterback for the Browns. Rookie linebacker Emmanuel Ogbah has three sacks in the last two games.

Denver Broncos: Rookie running back Devontae Booker will make his first career start against the Chargers with C.J. Anderson (knee) out for the rest of the season.

Houston Texans: Running back Lamar Miller ranks fifth in the league with 581 yards rushing. Rookie receiver Will Fuller has 292 yards receiving in three home games.

Indianapolis Colts: T.Y. Hilton is ranked among AFC leaders in receptions (45) and yards receiving (689). The Colts have allowed an NFL-high 25 sacks this season.

Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jaguars were outscored, 27-0, in the first half by the Titans on Thursday. Jacksonville hasn’t scored on its opening drive since Sept. 2015.

Kansas City Chiefs: The Chiefs are tied for second in the league with 14 takeaways, have a plus-seven turnover margin and have scored 41 points off takeaways.

Miami Dolphins: Running back Jay Ajayi is the first player since the 1970 merger to rush for more than 200 yards in two of his first three career starts.

New England Patriots: Tom Brady’s 25 wins over the Bills are one short the record for most wins by quarterback against one opponent. Brett Favre had 26 against Detroit.

N.Y. Jets: The Jets have won three straight meetings with the Browns, with their last loss coming in 2007. Ryan Fitzpatrick is set to start at quarterback.

Oakland Raiders: Derek Carr is 6-1 with 13 touchdown passes and two inter- ceptions. Amari Cooper is third in the AFC with 614 yards receiving, but has only one score.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Ben Roethlisberger (knee) might be ready to play in Week 9 following the Steelers’ bye week. He’s missed only one start because of the injury.

San Diego Chargers: Running back Melvin Gordon leads the NFL with 10 touchdowns (eight rushing, two receiving). Last week, he had had three scores vs. Falcons.

Tennessee Titans: Rookie Derrick Henry ran the ball 16 times for 60 yards against the Jaguars on Thursday after amassing just three carries in the two previous games.
