John Coppolella was forced to resign Monday as Atlanta Braves general manager after an investigation by MLB revealed rules violations in the international player market.
Gordon Blakeley, the team’s international scouting chief, also resigned.
Team President John Hart wouldn’t reveal details, saying only that “it didn’t pass MLB muster, but at the same time it didn’t pass Atlanta Braves muster.”
