The Lakers have opened the 2014-15 season slowly, winning just five of their first 19 games.

Unsurprisingly, online bookmaker Bovada has dropped the team to 200-1 odds to win the NBA championship this season. They opened the season at 75-1.

Bovada has the Cleveland Cavaliers as the favorite to take the title, at 13-4 odds, followed by the San Antonio Spurs at 9-2.

The Clippers started at 17-2 but are now at 12-1.

Bovada gives the Lakers 100-1 odds of winning the Western Conference, so technically they have twice the chance to make the NBA Finals as they do to actually win it.

Neither is likely.

The Lakers resume the chase on Friday, visiting the Celtics (5-11) in Boston.
