Danica Patrick admits to tense moments with boyfriend after wreck
Everything’s fine between NASCAR power couple Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Really.
That little dust-up on the track Sunday during the Coca-Cola 600? That was nothing. You should’ve seen the two lovebirds the very next day relaxing on a boat together.
OK, well maybe the wreck that started when Stenhouse bumped Patrick and caused her to collide with Brad Keselowski wasn’t exactly nothing. After all, it effectively ended the race for Patrick and Keselowski, while Stenhouse went on to finish 14th.
Patrick was more than a little miffed at the time, not talking to reporters after the race. And that was before having to share a ride home with the guy who caused the wreck.
“There’s a few silent moments for sure, many moments,†Patrick said of the awkward ride home. “I was upset. I wasn’t necessarily strictly just upset at him. He was there three wide as part of the issue.â€
But there’s no way she could hold a grudge against her fellow Sprint Cup Series rookie.
“We’ll be fine. We’re fine,†Patrick said. “We had a lovely day on the boat, on the lake, got a suntan.â€
