Jacoby Jones discusses Week 2 on ‘Dancing with the Stars’
The Times is pleased to have Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones guest-blogging for us while he competes on “Dancing With the Stars.†Each week while he competes on the show, Jones will answer a few questions from Sports Now editor Houston Mitchell and give some insight into the competition. Here are Jones’ thoughts about Week 2, which he offered via email.
Q. Have you taken any flak from your Ravens teammates after your dances so far this season?
Not at all. Actually, all of my teammates really want me to win. They all call me up and say, “You better not lose.â€
Q. Will we be seeing some ballroom dancing moves after you score a touchdown next season?
You might see some cha cha moves or some jazz hands. I can tell you it won’t be any Fox Trot moves for sure.
Q. What’s tougher, NFL defenses, or those kid dancers who were helping train you?
Of course, an NFL defense. However, I would not mess with those little girls. They were very strict!
Q. It must be tough to see a fellow competitor go home because of an injury. How was the stress of the first results show?
I hated to see Dorothy go home, due to being injured. She was doing really good and I know she wanted to continue competing. I couldn’t look at it as an elimination that night, because she deserved to be there.
