Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers collected his 1,000th career hit Friday and several others are set to reach that mark in the near future. To put Braun’s achievement in context, more than 250 active and former players have more than 2,000 career hits, capped by Pete Rose’s 4,256 hits.
