Update: A few statistics to consider now that the Kings have played 41 games, half the season. They’ve scored 35 fewer goals than last season at this point. The power play, no surprise, lags well behind, too. It was operating at a 19% success rate at this point last season compared with the current rate of 13.8%. Penalty-killing, however, is significantly better. Centers Jarret Stoll and Anze Kopitar have had big drop-offs in production, especially Stoll. Stoll had 11 goals and 26 points after 41 games last season and now has four goals and 12 points. Kopitar had 45 points in the first 41 games last season and has 36 points this season. Defenseman Slava Voynov (upper-body injury) practiced Friday but is not expected to play Saturday, according to the Kings.
