Update: The Ducks’ big line — Corey Perry-Ryan Getzlaf-Bobby Ryan — awakened and combined for five points Friday in a 4-2 win over the New York Islanders. Backup goaltender Dan Ellis suffered a groin strain in practice Saturday, and the Ducks were unclear about its severity. Ellis was to be examined Saturday or Sunday, the team said. Enforcer George Parros was scratched from Friday’s game because of a strained groin. He called it a “nagging injury.” Parros is the Ducks’ player representative and talked Saturday about the ongoing league realignment debate. He said the union proposed a wild-card scenario regarding the playoffs, among other things, but the league seemed unwilling to explore that option.
