After the scare sent through the team after Mark Ellis’ leg surgery sidelined him for six weeks and with eight players on the disabled list, the Dodgers were due for some good health news.

They actually got a little Sunday, when an MRI exam of Juan Uribe’s sore left wrist showed no serious damage and he was cleared to resume baseball activities on Monday.

“I’m really happy,†Uribe said. “I feel like it will go quick now.â€

Uribe is eligible to come off the disabled list May 29, the same day as Matt Kemp,.

Uribe has shown signs of snapping out of his funk at the plate and had upped his batting average to .250 before going down with a wrist injury that has been bothering him for more than a month.
