Arleta wins City Section Division IV basketball championship

Before a sold-out gym at Birmingham High, Arleta and San Fernando engaged in an all-out duel to decide the City Section Division IV boys’ basketball championship.
It came down to Alejandro Gutierrez making a basket with less than five seconds remaining to give Arleta a 69-68 victory.
Arleta went from finishing in last place in the East Valley League to City champion.
