Venice receives award for its athletic training program
Venice High is one of the few schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District with regular access to a certified athletic trainer, and this week the school became the recipient of the National Athletic Trainers’ Assn. Safe Sports School award.
The award recognizes secondary schools that provide safe environments for student athletes.
Kirtsten Farrell is the certified athletic trainer who takes care of Venice athletes. She has been at Venice since 2002 and a sports medicine teacher since 2005.
