Track: Top performances from Esperanza’s Bronson Osborn, Canyon’s Rachel Baxter

2016 is shaping up to be another banner year for track and field athletes in Southern California.
On Saturday in San Clemente, Bronson Osborn of Esperanza broke his own Orange County record in the shotput with a mark to 70-4 1/2.
Sophomore Rachel Baxter of Anaheim Canyon established a national age-group record in the girls’ pole vault, clearing 13-10.
At the California Relays, junior Isaiah Cunninghan of Rancho Verde ran the 100 meters in 10.60 seconds (1.1 wind) and the 200 in 21.65.
In the 300 hurdles, Cameron Hurd of Trabuco Hills finished second in 37.57. Jonathon Harvey of De La Salle ran a state-leading 37.42.
