There’s going to be some new competition for fastest sprinter in Southern California.
Sherman Oaks Notre Dame football standout CJ Sanders, a state sprint champion from Tennesee, will make his sprint debut in two weeks for the Knights at the Oaks Christian Invitational, Coach Joe McNab said.
Sanders did run on Thursday in the 400-meter relay for Notre Dame in a dual meet against Alemany. Dominic Davis of Alemany, the USC-bound running back and top sprinter, ran for the Warriors.
Notre Dame ran 41.81 with a team of Sanders, Leo Lambert, Taylor Aguilera and Trevor Reid. Alemany ran 42.08.
