Selections named for Southern Section fall coaches of the year
The California Coaches Assn. has named its fall coaches of the year from the Southern Section.
Among the honorees is Jason Negro of St. John Bosco. He guided the Braves to the Open Division football championship and state bowl victory.
Doug Soles of Great Oak was selected for the success of the boys cross country team.
Other honorees of Jack Kocur of Oaks Christian, boys water polo; Bill Reeves of Claremont, girls cross country; Cecil Woods of Walnut, girls golf; Owen McIntose of Rancho Mirage, girls tennis; Debra Litten of Ventura, girls volleyball.
The rookie coach of the fall is Wayne Manzo of La Serna for girls golf.
The assistant of the fall is James Copp, Dana Hills cross country.
