Heat causes Seaside Invitational to be halted

The Seaside Invitational in Ventura had to be halted by meet organizers on Friday afternoon following issues with heat that caused several runners to require treatment for heat exhaustion symptons.
The final three cross country races on the day were canceled at San Buenaventura State Beach.
Temperatures were in the high 80s.
