Football: Southern Section continues to review Malik Henry transfer
The Southern Section office has received documents needed to determine eligibility for quarterback Malik Henry of Long Beach Poly, spokesman Thom Simmons said Tuesday.
“We’re looking at it,†Simmons said. “We’re not in a hurry; the school is not in a hurry.â€
Poly has a bye this week and plays Las Vegas Bishop Gorman next week.
Henry, a senior committed to Florida State, played for Westlake last season, then enrolled to IMG Academy in Florida in the spring before enrolling at Poly last month. He has been practicing with the Jackrabbits while awaiting approval from the Southern Section.
