Football: Sons of 1980s stars take to the field

OK, cue the 1980s music, because there’s a Fotheringham, a Bonds, a Parkinson playing high school football. Their fathers were all standout players in the Santa Clarita Valley during the 1980s.
Cole Fotheringham, a senior-to-be tight end at San Clemente, is the son of Chad Fotheringham, a former Hart quarterback. Michael Bonds, a junior-to-be quarterback at Newport Harbor, is the son of Tom Bonds, a former Hart quarterback. And Cole Parkinson, a senior-to-be quarterback at Valencia, is the son of former Canyon Country Canyon lineman Brent Parkinson.
I’m feeling a little old, since I covered all three of the fathers.
The fathers were always good quotes, so let’s hope the sons can be just as talkative. I already know the sons can play.
