Football: Servite to hire Scott Meyer as its new coach

Servite is hoping to make an announcement Friday on its new football coach, with the focus on Scott Meyer of Corona del Mar.
On Thursday, Meyer told the Daily Pilot he was not the new Servite coach.
But Friday is a new day, and the Daily Pilot is reporting Meyer will be the next coach.
Servite has to be careful, because it once hired John Barnes of Los Alamitos as its coach in 2005, only to have Barnes change his mind following a meeting with his players.
