Football: Running back Ramses Hernandez of Fairfax is off to impressive start
There’s no doubt who’s the No. 1 running back in the City Section after two games: Ramses Hernandez of Fairfax.
Last week in an upset win over Carson, he had 207 yards rushing in 23 carries and scored three touchdowns. He also had 88 yards in kickoff return yards.
Two weeks ago against Roosevelt, he had 202 yards rushing, returned a punt for a touchdown and returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
The 5-foot-9, 180-pound senior is off this week before a showdown game against high-scoring Chatsworth on Sept. 18.
