Football: Running back Drake Beasley loses CIF state appeal
A CIF state appeals panel has rejected the appeal of La Canada running back Drake Beasley, leaving him ineligible for the 2016 football season.
Beasley was a standout for Loyola as a junior, then transferred to La Canada before this season. The Southern Section ruled him ineligible following a school investigation and after Loyola raised objections.
The only avenue left for Beasley, a senior, would be to seek an injunction in court.
