Quarterback Malik Henry of Long Beach Poly has not been cleared by the Southern Section to play in tonight’s nonleague game against Narbonne, Southern Section spokesman Thom Simmons said Thursday afternoon shortly before the office closed for the day.
Simmons said the section is still waiting for paperwork to determine Henry’s eligibility.
Henry played for Westlake last season, then attended IMG Academy in the spring.
He enrolled at Poly last month and has been practicing with the Jackrabbits.
