Football: No matter the opponent, QB Will Olvera delivers for Palm Springs

A starter since he was a freshman, Will Olvera is the senior quarterback at Palm Springs who Coach Dan Murphy can count on whether it’s hot or cold, whether the opponent is good or not.
He has helped lead Palm Springs to a 3-0 start.
He passed for 156 yards against Tahquitz, 321 yards against Redlands and 270 yards against Temescal Canyon. He’s completing 68% of his passes.
Last season he passed for 3,405 yards and 35 touchdowns when Palm Springs won the Eastern Division championship.
He’s only 5 feet 9 but finds ways to get the ball to his receivers.
