Football: Long Beach Poly waiting to learn status of QB Malik Henry
- Share via
The showdown game on Thursday night between Long Beach Poly and host Narbonne still has a bit of uncertainty, because the Jackrabbits would love to play quarterback Malik Henry, a transfer from Westlake and IMG Academy.
As of Wednesday morning, however, Henry has not received clearance from the Southern Section. Information from his former schools must be received and verified before his playing status is decided.
Henry is committed to Florida State and his availabilty would certainly help Poly, which won its opener, 13-12, on Aug. 22 in Arizona without Henry.
Narbonne is making its season debut with 19 returning starters from its City Section Division I championship team.
