Los Angeles High and the City Section has lost one of its best coaches. Eric Scott, the head coach at Los Angeles, is the new outside receivers coach at Nevada, Nevada Coach Jay Norvell tweeted.
Scott spent three years at Los Angeles, winning two City Section titles in Division II and III.
He returns to the college ranks. He was an assistant under Karl Dorrell at UCLA and was highly regarded for being able to recruit athletes from the Los Angeles area.
Los Angeles is now facing a difficult task. The Romans are expected to move up to Division I next season, and without Scott, that will be a formidable challenge.
