Football: It’s another wild ending for Crespi-Notre Dame game
- Share via
From now on, fans who want to attend the Crespi-Sherman Oaks Notre Dame football game only need to make sure you show up for the final seconds. This game has produced a series of wild endings, and the latest was Friday night.
Notre Dame won, 28-26, but not after surviving a frantic Crespi comeback attempt (see above video courtesy Crespi video coordinator James Escarcega).
With 15 seconds left and Crespi trailing, 28-20, Hamish McClure passed for an 18-yard touchdown to Dylan Schlopy. Crespi went for a two-point conversion but the pass fell incomplete.
Then Crespi’s Trevor Gill successfully recovered an onside kick.
There was two seconds left when McClure tried to connect with Anthony Booker on a Hail Mary. It just missed.
The previous day, in the junior varsity game, Crespi won on a Hail Mary.
Just another game in the Crespi-Notre Dame rivalry.
