The last time neighborhood rivals Grant and North Hollywood each started a season 3-0 was . . . no one can remember.
Junior running back Darryl Antwan-Anderson of Grant has rushed for 417 yards and five touchdowns in wins over Van Nuys, Bell and Lincoln.
Senior running back Jeremiah Cassell has been a big-play weapon for North Hollywood in wins over Franklin, Contreras and Van Nuys.
Grant and North Hollywood meet in an East Valley League showdown on Oct. 2 at Grant. Both schools will also have to get by East Valley League favorite Arleta (3-0).
