Football: Grace Brethren replaces athletic director in wake of forfeit

Simi Valley Grace Brethren announced on Monday that it has removed Athletic Director Matt Cooper from his position “in response to his admission that he had failed to act upon information concerning an ineligible football player,” according to a news release from the school.
Grace Brethren forfeited its scheduled championship game in the East Valley Division last week when it discovered an ineligible player.
RJ Blackwell has been appointed interim athletic director.
Grace Brethren was 13-0 on the season before its forfeit.
