Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita had an historic night in football on Thursday night. The Grizzlies won their fourth game of the season, a school record for a program that began in 2005 and still has never won a Foothill League game.

Quarterback Victor Corona passed for one touchdown and ran for two.
Golden Valley will have next week off before beginning Foothill League play on Oct. 9 against Valencia.
Villa Park pulled out a 10-9 win over El Modena. Anthony Firuta made a 42-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to give Villa Park the lead.
Whittier Pioneer improved to 5-0 with a 47-7 win over Cantwell-Sacred Heart. Pioneer was 1-9 last season.
North Torrance defeated Inglewood, 43-0. Mique Juarez ran for four touchdowns and passed for two.
