Football: Former Thousand Oaks QB Case Cookus leads Northern Arizona

There were other impressive college debuts from former Southern California high school quarterbacks other than the one named Josh Rosen.
Case Cookus, a 2014 Thousand Oaks High graduate, led Northern Arizona to a 34-28 win over Stephen F. Austin.
The redshirt freshman completed 13 of 18 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns.
Former Alemany quarterback Vernon Adams, in his debut for Oregon, passed for 246 yards and one touchdown and ran for 94 yards in a 61-42 win over his former team, Eastern Washington.
Former Mater Dei quarterback Max Wittek, a transfer from USC, completed 19 of 32 passes for 202 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-20 win over Colorado.
