Football: Former Hollywood QB Jeremi Ross is headed to college
- Share via
Perseverance has won out for former Hollywood quarterback Jeremi Ross, who leaves next Monday to play football at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
He had been in and out of foster care and group homes since he was 3. He had straight Fs on his report card in his freshman year.
Then he arrived at Hollywood, and Coach Ceasar Sandoval took him under his wings. Ross became a good student and top player.
The two ended up going to L.A. Valley College.
He’ll play cornerback in college. Ross has been helping coach at West Ranch, where Sandoval now coaches.
It’s a great story about a player who worked hard on and off the field to get the chance to play football in college and receive an education.
