Football: California Showcase is set for Feb. 21 in Irvine

The California Showcase, where high school senior football players with grade-point averages of 2.5 or better get to show off their skills before NCAA and NAIA Division II and III recruiters, will be held on Feb. 21 at the Great Park in Irvine.
Organized by former UCLA Coach Terry Donahue and the National Football Foundation, the event usually draws close to 500 participants.

The requirements to participate include 2.5 GPA, SAT score of 1,000 or higher or ACT of 18 or higher.
