Boys’ basketball: Windward advances behind Jalen Harris’ 28 points
L.A. Windward earned a quarterfinal matchup against Crespi in the Fairfax tournament with an 86-76 win over Alemany on Tuesday night that featured 28 points from junior guard Jalen Harris and 21 from sophomore Payton Moore.
Windward will play Crespi in Thursday’s 7:30 p.m. quarterfinals.
In other games on Tuesday, Jordan Griffin scored 26 points in Corona Centennial’s 83-40 win over Brentwood.
Sierra Canyon defeated La Canada, 82-56.
In quarterfinal games set for Wednesday, Centennial will play Fairfax at 6 p.m. and Long Beach Poly will play Chino Hills at 7:30 p.m. Mater Dei will face Santa Monica in a first-round game at 4:30 p.m.
