Boys’ basketball: Top tournament in Orange County this weekend

The Mater Dei summer basketball tournament will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Misty May-Treanor Sports Center, 14522 Myford Road in Irvine.

Chino Hills, Fairfax, Sierra Canyon, Crespi, Corona Centennial and Santa Margarita are among the teams entered.

Mater Dei Coach Gary McKnight will be running the tournament.

Among the top games are Saturday, Chino Hills vs. Harvard-Westlake at 2:45 p.m.; Crespi vs. Sierra Canyon at 5:15 p.m.; Corona Centennial vs. Sierra Canyon at 7:45 p.m.
