Boys’ basketball: Lonzo Ball vs. T.J. Leaf on Jan. 9 at Sierra Canyon

Two of the top senior basketball players in the state, Lonzo Ball of Chino Hills and T.J. Leaf of San Diego Foothills Christian, will face off when their teams play in the Sierra Canyon Super Showcase on Jan. 9 at Chatsworth Sierra Canyon.
Ball has committed to UCLA. Leaf, a 6-foot-9 forward, is also being recruited by UCLA. The game is set for 6:45 p.m.
The complete schedule: Chatsworth vs. Saugus, 11 a.m.; Sierra Canyon (girls) vs. Gardena Serra (girls), 12:30 p.m.; Rancho Christian vs. Immanuel, 2 p.m.; Alemany vs. St. Augustine, 3:30 p.m.; Cathedral vs. Modesto Christian, 5 p.m.; Sierra Canyon vs. Las Vegas Desert Pines, 8:30 p.m.
