Boys’ basketball: Kendall Small vs. Tyler Dorsey
Two of the top junior point guards in the state, Kendall Small of Mayfair and Tyler Dorsey of St. John Bosco, face off in a semifinal of the Redondo tournament on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
Small has already outplayed another highly regarded point guard, Compton’s Kyron Cartwright, a Loyola Marymount signee, in the quarterfinals.
The other semifinal will match Redondo and Westchester at 8 p.m.
In the Corona Centennial tournament, Etiwanda and Centennial are headed on a collision course to meet on Saturday. On Friday, Rancho Verde plays Etiwanda at 6:30 p.m. Centennial plays Central at 8 p.m.
